SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – 2nd September 2025 – Sydney-based filmmaker Kalab Templeman’s short film The Haunting Notes has been officially selected for the 15th Annual SCC Theatre & Film Autumn Short Film Festival in Somerset, Kentucky, USA. Out of thousands of global submissions, only a select few short films are chosen for screening, making this an exciting achievement for the cast and crew.
About the Film
The Haunting Notes follows Anne, a student overwhelmed by fear and self-doubt the night before her final exam. Surrounded by scattered study notes in her dimly lit apartment, Anne’s anxiety spirals as reality begins to fracture. A ghostly presence urges her to confront the past she’s tried to bury. With time slipping away, Anne must face her deepest fears—or risk losing more than just a grade.
Starring Laura Stead and Gary Daniels, the film blends psychological tension and emotional depth, with a haunting score composed by Jordan Liling, offering audiences an immersive exploration of fear, memory, and personal growth.
