How to Get Started on YouTube

YouTube is the world’s largest video-sharing platform, with over 2 billion active users. It’s a great way to share your thoughts, ideas, and creativity with the world. If you’re thinking about starting a YouTube channel, here are a few tips to help you get started:

  1. Choose a niche. What do you want to make videos about? There are millions of channels on YouTube, so it’s important to find a niche that you’re passionate about and that you can offer something unique to.
  2. Create high-quality content. This doesn’t mean you need to have the latest and greatest camera and editing software. But it does mean taking the time to produce videos that are well-shot, well-edited, and engaging.
  3. Be consistent. The best way to grow your channel is to upload new videos on a regular basis. This will help you build a following and keep viewers coming back for more.
  4. Promote your channel. Once you have some videos up, don’t be afraid to promote your channel on social media and other online platforms. The more people who know about your channel, the more likely they are to watch your videos.
  5. Be patient. It takes time to build a successful YouTube channel. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results overnight. Just keep creating great content and promoting your channel, and eventually you’ll start to see success.

NOTE:

This blog will be updated from time to time.

A few simple things you need to remember.

  1. Channel Ideas
  2. SEO (channel name, logo, titles, etc)
  3. Goals

first off, in order to start on the platform, you need ideas. There is no point starting a channel with no ideas.

With the ideas, once you have an idea, you need to be commited on making that kind of content. So don’t just upload one video then never upload again. Be commited on doing it. And get a niche – if people sub for gaming and you do vlogs, it won’t work hey?

Branding, one thing you need to focus on is setting your brand (yes a YouTube channel is a brand!!) You need to have a good channel name, a very long channel name might work, but it’s better to go with a name that sounds good, and that people will remember. This also includes, a logo. Channel art icons. Etc

Also, when starting on YT you need to set yourself goals that you want to achieve. If you do that, it’ll keep you motivated.

Here are some additional tips to help you get started on YouTube:

  • Use keywords in your channel name, title, and description. This will help people find your channel when they’re searching for videos on YouTube.
  • Create eye-catching thumbnails for your videos. This will help people click on your videos when they’re browsing through YouTube.
  • Interact with your viewers. Respond to comments, answer questions, and participate in discussions. This will help you build a community around your channel.
  • Don’t be afraid to experiment. Try different types of videos, different styles of editing, and different ways of interacting with your viewers. The more you experiment, the more likely you are to find what works for you.

Don’t do it just for the money. Most times, YouTube ads don’t pay that well, and there’s now some requriments that you need to meet in order to monitize now. It’s best that you provide other paid services other then just doing YT.

Getting started on YouTube can be hard, but if you have good ideas, commited to creating content, you’ll be fine!!

Here are some things to remember when starting a YouTube channel:

  • Don’t use equipment as an excuse. You can make great videos with even the most basic equipment. Just start with what you have and upgrade as you grow.
  • Don’t do it just for the money. YouTube can be a great way to make money, but it’s important to remember that it takes time and effort. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t start making money right away.
  • Have fun! Creating a YouTube channel should be enjoyable. If you’re not having fun, it will show in your videos. So relax, be yourself, and have fun with it.

REMEMBER – NEVER USE EQUIPMENT AS AN EXCUSE. WORK WITH WHAT GEAR YOU DO HAVE!
