R U OK DAY 2022 | How To Start A Conversation

R U OK DAY VIDEO FROM 2020 (STILL RELEVANT IN 2022 HENCE REPOSTING)

R U OK Day is Thursday 8th September 2022. It is the national day of action when Australians are reminded that every day is the day to ask, ‘Are you ok?’

2022 has been a challenging year for many in our community; we have had to learn how to operate in a world where social distancing is now the norm, and many have been required to self-isolate or to quarantine. These circumstances have made it more important than ever to promote the important messages of R U Ok? Day. Today we will be talking a look at R U OK day, and giving some info.

It’s not always easy to keep the conversation going when someone says they’re not OK, but it could change a life. Also remember that, today isn’t the only day to R U OK, we should be asking R U OK, everyday, it’s common sense.

By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they are not ok, you can follow our conversation steps to show them they’re supported and help them find strategies to better manage the load. If they are ok, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask.Learn the signs it’s time to ask R U OK? Take the R U OK? Quiz

GETTING READY TO ASK

Before you can look out for others, you need to look out for yourself. And that’s ok. If you’re not in the right headspace or you don’t think you’re the right person to have the conversation, try to think of someone else in their support network who could talk to them.
To help you decide whether you’re ready to start a meaningful conversation, ask yourself:

AM I READY?

  • Am I in a good headspace?
  • Am I willing to genuinely listen?
  • Can I give as much time as needed?

AM I PREPARED?

  • Do I understand that if I ask how someone’s going, the answer could be: “No, I’m not”?
  • Do I understand that you can’t ‘fix’ someone’s problems?
  • Do I accept that they might not be ready to talk? Or they might not want to talk to me?

PICKED MY MOMENT?

  • Have I chosen somewhere relatively private and comfy?
  • Have I figured out a time that will be good for them to chat?
  • Have I made sure I have enough time to chat properly?

TIPS ON HOW TO ASK

  • 1. ASK R U OK?
    • Be relaxed, friendly and concerned in your approach.
    • Help them open up by asking questions like “How are you going?” or “What’s been happening?”
    • Mention specific things that have made you concerned for them, like “You seem less chatty than usual. How are you going?”

    IF
    • If they don’t want to talk, don’t criticise them.
    • Tell them you’re still concerned about changes in their behaviour and you care about them.
    • Avoid a confrontation.
    • You could say: “Please call me if you ever want to chat” or “Is there someone else you’d rather talk to?”
  • 2. LISTEN WITH AN OPEN MIND
    • Take what they say seriously and don’t interrupt or rush the conversation.
    • Don’t judge their experiences or reactions but acknowledge that things seem tough for them.
    • If they need time to think, sit patiently with the silence.
    • Encourage them to explain: “How are you feeling about that?” or “How long have you felt that way?”
    • Show that you’ve listened by repeating back what you’ve heard (in your own words) and ask if you have understood them properly.
  • 3. ENCOURAGE ACTION
    • Ask: “What have you done in the past to manage similar situations?”
    • Ask: “How would you like me to support you?”
    • Ask: “What’s something you can do for yourself right now? Something that’s enjoyable or relaxing?”
    • You could say: “When I was going through a difficult time, I tried this… You might find it useful too.”
    • If they’ve been feeling really down for more than 2 weeks, encourage them to see a health professional. You could say, “It might be useful to link in with someone who can support you. I’m happy to assist you to find the right person to talk to.”
    • Be positive about the role of professionals in getting through tough times.

    IF THEY NEED EXPERT HELP
Some conversations are too big for family and friends to take on alone. If someone’s been really low for more than 2 weeks – or is at risk – please contact a professional as soon as you can.
    FIND EXPERT HELP >>
  • 4. CHECK IN
    • Pop a reminder in your diary to call them in a couple of weeks. If they’re really struggling, follow up with them sooner.
    • You could say: “I’ve been thinking of you and wanted to know how you’ve been going since we last chatted.”
    • Ask if they’ve found a better way to manage the situation. If they haven’t done anything, don’t judge them. They might just need someone to listen to them for the moment.
    • Stay in touch and be there for them. Genuine care and concern can make a real difference.

Life Update: My Return To YouTube & Social Media | NEWS & UPDATES

Overview

Hello all, it has been a while, there has been no new content for nearly 2 weeks at the time of writing this post, it’s been the longest time I’ve not uploaded in a while. In this blog I outline how my exams are going, when I should fully return to YouTube, content plans for the rest of 2021 and more.

Like I mentioned in this video, and this blog post is that content will be limited during this time, I’ve been very busy with exams, work commitments, also prior to exams I finished a website for a client. ( do you need any Web design services, if so click here)

The question on everyone’s mind: WHEN WILL I RETURN!

I generally plan on looking into doing a few YouTube Shorts, my final exam is on the 23rd of Nov, (there’s at least a 3 day gap between all my exams)

I will do some short videos for now, I’ve been busy with exam, work commitments, and many appointments, that I had all got done prior to exams.

The Plan

My general plan for coming back into normal YouTube schedules will be as follows:

  • Attempt to upload some kind of content, or even live stream, (even its it short – throughout next week.
  • My aim this weekend is to film something, anything, no guarantees however,
  • Throughout next week and the week after similar limited content,
  • During the end of next week, start of next, content will be resuming to normal, with a “I’m back, my Return To YouTube!” Video vlog style video,
  • This will be discussing plans and all with the future,

Throughout end of November and into all of December, content will be at its full force, with vlogs, tech, IRL Collab and all being uploaded like normal.

What’s Happening In December & Beyond

  • Oh yes I also have my year 12 formal, this is happening early December, I plan to vlog that, then again no guarantees
  • In addition – I am doing a short hospitality course skills set in December, adding to the list of my qualifications, also in addition gaining many qualifications in many areas where possible –
  • There’s a lot happening during those times so videos will be amazing.

There is no confirmation with regards to content structure for 2022.

No word on what is happening in 2022 with regards to online content -more updates on this will be provided sometime in December.

NEW VIDEO: TELSTRA SCAMMERS CALL ME!

Today we are back with some scambaiting, unexpectedly.. I walked in from school today and got a phone call from “Telstra” saying that our internet line will be disconnected. Clearly a scam, i decided to play along, this is how it turned out P.S. sorry for the shaky camera during recording, we rushed to get the camera to capture it,

INFO ON THE TELSTRA SCAM: Telephone-based scam callers often claim to be from well-known organisations such as Telstra, the Government, or other brands or organisations you’re likely to have heard of. These scam callers will often try to convince you of the urgent need to follow their instructions. Sometimes they will try to convince you to give them access to your computer remotely, such as when pretending to be a Telstra employee.

Often, they will apply inappropriate pressure, including threats and potentially inappropriate language, as part of their scam. This is the normal “tech support scam” type, asking for remote access etc, however they added the twist that they’re from Telstra, so Aussies can become targets…

New Year’s Eve fireworks around the country: How to celebrate 2021 in Australia’s capital cities

WATCH SYDNEY FIREWORKS BELOW:

New Year’s Eve fireworks around the country: How to celebrate 2021 in Australia’s capital cities

The year of 2020 has been challenging for Australians in unimaginable ways.

Bushfires continued to destroy homes and wildlife, burning through 170,000 square kilometres of land, while the unforeseen coronavirus pandemic killed hundreds and kept the entire population in lockdown for much of the year.

Saying goodbye to 2020 will be high on many people’s agendas, but what is planned in your state and how can you celebrate with current restrictions in place?

Keep reading to find out what each capital has in store, or jump to see what’s happening in your city:

And remember, if you’re ringing in the new year from the comfort of your living room, you can watch the Sydney NYE fireworks live on iview or YouTube.

Sydney

Sydney’s 9pm fireworks display has been cancelled, but the midnight show will go ahead.(AP: Rick Rycroft, File Photo)

Sydney’s iconic midnight fireworks display has been modified to run for less time than in normal years, but will go ahead.

The 9pm fireworks display for families with young children has, however, been cancelled.

Earlier in the year, the New South Wales Government allocated spots along the city harbour foreshore for frontline healthcare workers, so they could enjoy the show in front-row seats.

But on Monday, Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the city’s COVID-19 outbreak had led to the cancellation of those plans, with authorities thinking “it’s too much of a health risk” having people from broader regional areas congregate in the CBD.

Due to the outbreak, the Government has banned crowds watching the fireworks from normally packed foreshores around Sydney.

People will be allowed to celebrate at hospitality venues in the CBD, as long as those venues have COVID-safe plans in place and adhere to the one person per 4-square-metre rule.

Restrictions introduced after December 19 in response to the northern beaches outbreak will remain in place on New Year’s Eve.

This includes people in Greater Sydney only having up to 10 household visitors.

Melbourne

In Melbourne, the fireworks display has been scrapped.(AAP: James Ross)

Around 400,000 people normally cram into Melbourne’s CBD to enjoy fireworks bringing in the new year.

But after the tough year endured by all Victorians, the Melbourne City Council has decided to scrap its traditional fireworks displays.

The city will instead hold a New Year Street Feast, a two-day event in the heart of the CBD from December 31 to January 1.

The festivities will include street parties in specially designated areas — but the only catch is you have to book.

Fifty venues are taking part at 11 precincts across the city, with tickets on sale since November 23.

Musical acts will provide entertainment throughout the city with Client Liaison and Cut Copy to headline.

Getting to and from the event will be free of charge on all modes of public transport between 6:00pm December 31 and 6:00am January 1. Additional public transport services will be run between midnight and 6:00am.

Last year, concerns were raised about holding large-scale fireworks displays while bushfires were still burning in East Gippsland.

Lord Mayor Sally Capp said the council was looking at alternatives to fireworks for the future, including making a move to the use of laser technology when crowds can again be welcomed back into the CBD.

“We do hope we can come back to New Year’s Eve celebrations where lots of people can be welcomed into the city to enjoy themselves and feel that fantastic sense of community,” she said in November.

Canberra

Canberra’s New Year’s Eve celebrations will be family friendly.(ABC News)

Pop-up musical performances have been held across Canberra in the days leading up to New Year’s Eve, in place of the traditional fireworks and concert.

For the second year in a row there will be no fireworks display in the ACT to mark the new year.

Last year they were cancelled due to the looming bushfire threat, and this year the ACT Government is spreading out the festivities to the suburbs to avoid large crowds due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the event, dubbed New Year’s Eve across the City, some buildings, including the Royal Australian Mint and the National Carillon, will be lit up and local musicians will play on Canberra streets.

Canberrans are also being encouraged to dine out in the town centres to support local hospitality venues.

Hobart

The Taste of Tasmania festival has been cancelled.(ABC News: Laura Beavis)

In what will be a slightly different New Year’s Eve celebration for the people of Hobart, fireworks will still be on the program.

The River Derwent will be lit up in spectacular colours at 9:30pm and midnight, but residents have been told to avoid gathering on the waterfront.

Fireworks will reach a higher altitude this year, a move to allow the light show to be visible from more vantage points around the city.

The annual Taste of Tasmania has been cancelled, as has the Sydney to Hobart yacht race and race village.

Adelaide

New Year’s Eve events at Glenelg and Brighton usually tens of thousands of people.(ABC News)

Fireworks celebrations right across Adelaide have been put on hold as the effects of COVID-19 take hold.

The events at Glenelg and Brighton usually attract a crowd of 60,000 people, with displays at Elder Park and Semaphore being equally as popular.

Instead, people are being encouraged to bring in the new year at restaurants or bars across the state and to support local businesses.

Adelaide Oval will once again host a Big Bash game with the Adelaide Strikers taking on the Perth Scorchers from 6:45pm.

An increased crowd of between 20,000 and 25,000 people will be able to fill the stands with social distancing and COVID-safe measure put in place.

South Australia’s display was set to take on a different look this year after the Adelaide City Council voted to phase out the use of fireworks.

The capital city was to be treated to a laser, drone and water feature show on the banks on the Torrens River at Elder Park.

The change in display came after much criticism of the 2019/20 event after the city council proceeded with fireworks during the catastrophic bushfires.

Brisbane

Brisbane revellers are encouraged to ring in the new year from the city’s parks.(Supplied: Visit Brisbane)

Brisbane’s main New Year’s Eve fireworks are another victim of COVID-19, but people are still encouraged to celebrate the start of 2021 in the city.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said locals were welcome to visit the city’s 2,000 parks.

“All of our parks will remain open, including South Bank and Roma Street Parklands over New Year’s so people can still enjoy a barbecue and celebrate the end of 2020 in the outdoors,” he said.

Venues are hosting their own NYE celebrations at places like Howard Smith Wharves, Eagle Street Pier, Portside Wharf and South Bank.

Several restaurants and bars are also hosting their own fireworks shows, including The Boundary Hotel in West End and Ling Ling’s in Fortitude Valley — but you need to buy tickets.

Fireworks at the Gold Coast have also been cancelled, with authorities concerned they would be unable to enforce social distancing amongst revellers.

Queensland’s regional centres are also modifying their New Year’s Eve celebrations this year.

Darwin

Darwin’s New Year’s Eve fireworks will go ahead as usual, at 9pm and midnight.(ABC News: Iskhandar Razak)

Revellers in the NT capital can watch fireworks at the Darwin Waterfront, with two 10-minute shows scheduled — one at 9pm and a second at midnight.

Due to coronavirus restrictions, attendees to the family-friendly event will need to register online first and wear a wristband on the day. Organisers warn there will be no door sales.

Tickets cost $20 per adult and are free for kids under five accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

There will be limited standing room available for those keen to be close to the action and places to sit for those wanting to spread out with a picnic blanket.

Paw Patrol will entertain crowds from about 5pm, with ARIA award-winning artist Tones and I to take the stage at 8pm, Sheppard at 9:30pm and DJ Kay from 10:45pm.

Food stalls will run from 4pm until 10pm, and there will be an outdoor bar for thirsty attendees. Patrons are not allowed to bring outside food or drinks into the venue, although exceptions will be made for baby food.

Parking will be limited, but free buses will be available on New Year’s Eve from the Darwin, Casuarina and Palmerston interchanges. The NT Government has published detailed information on the public transport plan.

Perth

Celebrations in Perth will go ahead largely unscathed by COVID-19 restrictions.(ABC News: Rebecca Trigger)

While some people in other states and around the world will be restricted to harsh CIVD-19 restrictions this year, West Australians will be fortunate enough to have a somewhat normal New Year’s Eve.

The City of Perth will host street performances and entertainment including circus performers, buskers, carnival rides and markets in Northbridge from 6pm to midnight.

Families will also be able to visit the WA Museum Boola Bardip which will feature kids’ workshops, Aboriginal dance and performances.

Stroll down to Perth Cultural Centre and you’ll find it lit with colourful projections and LED photo opportunities as well as several food vendors and a silent disco.

For those looking forward to seeing the night sky lit up, the city will have a fireworks display at 9pm for families and a five-minute display at midnight, with a countdown on the Digital Tower at Yagan Square.

For the best views, the city recommends heading to James Street, William Street, Yagan Square or Perth Cultural Centre.

People are still being urged to register their details on the SafeWA app at events, keep 1.5 metres apart and use hand sanitiser.

Facebook Messenger Down? Latest Info!

Australia Heatwave – Breaking News Updates

Very High to Severe fire danger forecast for a number of areas tomorrow. A Total Fire Ban in place for Far North Coast, North Coast, Greater Hunter, Greater Sydney, North Western, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Central Ranges, New England and Northern Slopes tomorrow Sunday 29 November.

Severe to extreme heatwave conditions are expected across much of the south-east and eastern parts of Australia over the coming days as the heat makes its way around the country.

“But the temperatures and duration of what we’re going to see is exceptional,” he said.

It is important that people plan ahead, check in with the local health advice and look after their pets, local wildlife and vulnerable people.

Here is a wrap of how the heat is expected to affect the states and territories.

South Australia

After a scorching day yesterday, South Australian temperatures are forecast to remain high on Saturday with 47 degrees Celsius at Maree and 46C in Renmark and Port Augusta.

Adelaide is forecast to reach 38C today.

All of this heat is expected to up the fire risk across the country, with extreme fire danger forecast again today.

Thankfully, a cool change is expected this afternoon, according to Mr How.

Victoria

Meanwhile, across the border, things are hot in northern Victoria, but according to Mr How, Melbourne and southern Victoria will be protected by a southerly breeze.

“Even though it’s going to be baking hot, up to 45 degrees along the Murray, for southern Victoria it’s going to be fairly cool,” he said.

Melbourne is only forecast to reach 28C Saturday and temperatures are expected to be much more pleasant south of the ranges.

New South Wales and the ACT

Southern Victoria might be missing out but, there is no such luck in New South Wales.

The heat is stretching all the way to the coast with a forecast of 45C in Hay and Deniliquin on Saturday and 40C days forecast for Western Sydney.

Sunday is expected to be the peak heat day for eastern New South Wales, and even Sydney City is forecast to get up to 39C.Be prepared for the heatHeatwaves kill far more people than other natural disasters. ABC Emergency has a checklist of things you can do to be ready.Read more

“Severe fire dangers for the Sydney Metro, and severe fire dangers right along the New South Wales coast with very strong winds ahead of a change on Sunday,” Mr How said.

The change is expected to come in the form of a gusty southerly buster bringing potentially damaging winds, thunderstorms and a rapid drop in temperatures.

“We’re talking 10 to 20 degrees in the space of an hour. It could also bring some thunderstorms in the form of dry lightning.

“So the risk of new ignition on Sunday is there.”

Canberra is expected to miss the worst of the peak heat this time round with maximums of 33C and 28C on Saturday and Sunday.

Queensland

Up in northern New South Wales and south-east Queensland, there is no cool change in sight until Thursday. Yes, Thursday.

“It’s looking like a five or six-day heatwave for millions of people,” according to Mr How.

Let ABC Emergency helpABC Emergency brings warnings and coverage of emergencies to one place before, during and after times of crisis and disaster.Read more

On Thursday, onshore flow is expected to cool things down around the coast, but it will push the heat back into central and inland parts.

The heat is expected to hang around through western Queensland all the way through until next weekend.

Whether or not the heat then circles back around the following week will depend on whether the rain finally starts falling up north.

Northern Territory and the tropics

For the heat to stop circling the country, we really need the tropical rains to kick in.

“It looks like the second week of December could be another heatwave,” Mr How says.

“It’s a race between that and the increase in the monsoon activity to see which one wins out.”

Despite there being a strong La Niña in the Pacific, the rains have held off for the past few weeks thanks to short-term climate drivers getting in the way.https://www.youtube.com/embed/UsWHHE_jkGE?feature=oembed&enablejsapi=1&origin=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.abc.net.auYOUTUBEUnderstanding the Madden-Julian Oscillation

But with the Madden Julian Oscillation (MJO) expected to move over early to mid-December, that deluge could be starting soon.

Western Australia

While the east is sweating it out, it is looking like a relatively mild weekend in the south-west.

A high-pressure ridge is expected to form over southern Western Australia today before a surface trough forms on Sunday ahead of the next cold front, expected to graze the south-west on Monday.

Perth is forecast to have two lovely days of 25C with no chance of rain, partly cloudy on Sunday.

Tasmania

I know you hate being left out down there, but in this particular instance it really is a good thing.

Showers are forecast over the weekend, as troughs and lows move through.

Things are expected to clear up on Monday, but Tuesday will likely bring some wet weather as the next front makes its way through.

R U OK DAY 2020 | How To Start A Conversation

R U Ok?Day is Thursday 10th September 2020. It is the national day of action when Australians are reminded that every day is the day to ask, ‘Are you ok?’

2020 has been a challenging year for many in our community; we have had to learn how to operate in a world where social distancing is now the norm, and many have been required to self-isolate or to quarantine.

How To Start A Facebook Group (Tips & Tricks

A Facebook group is a page on Facebook created to enable a group of people to interact around a common topic. Oftentimes Facebook groups are used for businesses and organizations to promote and inform their customers and prospects about different products, events, or updates happening in relation to their company or industry.

We started a facebook group called “The Kalab Templeman Facebook Community” to let viewers engage more in our content, and also to share exclusive content with dedicated fans.

We got questions, people were like “how do i start a group?” Well, here is your answers!

Via FB Help Center:

To create a group:

  1. From your News Feed tap  then tap Groups.
  2.  Tap Create > Create Group.
  3. Enter your group name, add group members and tap Next.
  4. Choose a privacy option and tap Create.

Once you create your group, you personalize it by uploading a cover photo.

BENEFITS OF A FB GROUP:

1. Provides way more personal engagement.

2. Drive focused attention to a call to action.

In a group, you have the ability to pin a post to the top. This is a great place to put a call to action and guarantee you draw eyeballs to it. You don’t want to throw up something overly spammy, but an invitation to join your newsletter is perfectly fine, especially if you provide value to the group members

3. Get feedback from polls, posts etc.

4. Build trust in providing value

5. Announce offers.

Creating exclusive offers for the group is a good way to build relationships with fans and all!

How To Balance School & YouTube | The RIGHT Way!

A few years ago i made a video on YouTube called “How To Balance School & YouTube” (watch here). That video was made in 2017, with nearly all content still relevant today. We have gotten a lot of questions about that video, and to do some kind of follow up.

Today, we’ll be giving a few tips on how to balance school and YouTube. If you’re not a student, but do work, these points may apply to you too.

First of all, set your priorities, and focus mainly on school, School should be your main focus, especially during assessment and exam times. However, even though you should mainly focus on school, this doesn’t mean there isn’t any time for spending time on social media, So you need to work out an ideal balance to balance it all.

Ask yourself this ONE question: “What’s more important in my life?”

In order to distinguish how to balance, you need to determine what is more important, school (or work) or your online career/social stats. If your answer is school, ideally this would be the way to go. You should mainly focus on school, as you can’t really start again with school, like you can with YouTube/online

Keep an Updated Schedule | Use Calendar/have a planner

Take the time to add the overall school schedule for the term, like what assignments are due, any homework, or major productions. You can then set aside specific times throughout the week to focus on things like social media, YouTube, etc.

Produce videos in batch

School can be overwhelming sometimes, (like said earlier) you can use that planner to determine times that you will have no school/assessments to focus on, and during these times (and also during school holidays), you should record a few videos that day, and have them edited and ready to go out, (you can use schedule feature to schedule them all in advance), This will mean during those exam times, you’ll have content ready to go.

Plan your day overall

If you know that during a specific day that you have a lot on, but also have some free time as well, you should plan your overall day with what you need to do, for example focus on X amount of hours doing school work focus X account of minutes making videos, focus on X amount of hours doing cleaning, appointments, etc.

Once you make this list, use a number system to prioritise what you need to do for the day. (1 = Most important e.g. 10 (or whatever number = least important)

Make Time for Yourself

Set time aside specifically for you creating content, and make content during this time. (of course once you’ve done all of your main priorities..!)

Once you’ve finished all school related things, worked on other priorities (family etc) THEN focus on the channel

You need to learn that YouTube should never be the main focus, you should work on things such as school and work, and of course, always put family (and even friends), and your health first.

Explain to your viewers your situation

Let’s say if you haven’t done those tips said before, and have an overload of assignments and exams, or you know that school will effect your consistent upload schedule, make a video, or a post, setting an overall expectation to the viewers of your content. Advise them that your main focus is school, and will do YouTube (or create content) during your spare time. If you have an upload schedule (a guide), for example, we do Monday and Wednesday, Friday, explain to your viewers this is just a guide only, and that uploads may be on different days or times. Set the expectation so they won’t be asking questions later.

Ideally, the overall takeaway is to mainly focus on school, and do YouTube and create content when you can in your spare time, also don’t drop out of school, let’s say your channel is going well, and you want to do YT full time and want to drop out of school to succeed on YT, please make sure you have some kind of a backup plan/ a place to go in case YouTube doesn’t work out.

Our First Responders have always supported our communities but in 2020, it has become apparent just how much these people do to protect and care for us. With bushfires followed by cyclones, floods, hailstorms and COVID-19 on top of the everyday business of house fires, car crashes and crime, 2020 has highlighted the incredible work of our first responders.

This year we wanted a chance to say thank you.

On 2nd June 2020, join us for Thank a First Responder Day and say thank you to those who protect, defend and care for our community every single day.

FilmoraGo Review | The BEST Video Editor on Android & IOS?!

FilmoraGo is a comprehensive video editing app which allows you to create brilliant compositions using any clip from your device’s memory to create video projects. Today i’ll be giving a review of FilmoraGo, outlining the features and more.

FilmoraGo offers a simple interface. All options are on the screen, just tap and go to the next opportunity. Finally, you’ll get the edited videos. It has a good UI design, let’s talk more:

Easy as 1.. 2.. 3..!

  1. Select – Photos and videos from the gallery, albums, Facebook, or Instagram.
  2. Create – Pick a Theme, add your favorite Music, Filters, and Titles yourself.
  3. Share – Save to your gallery, or instantly share on Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo, WhatsApp, YouTube, or Email.

Functions

FilmoraGo operation efficiency and stability are on the go. The app works well, and the load times are great.

When you open the app, it asks to create a new video. You can pick videos and photos from the phone gallery, Facebook, and Instagram. If adding videos from the phone, then tap the Camera icon on the screen, which is showing the number of videos, and it will show all the videos from the gallery. You can select multiple videos by tapping the tick mark over each video. Now tap the NEXT icon given on the upper right corner of the screen; it will show the progress bar for a while. Well done, now you can see the vertical bars on the left and right sides.

There are many themes that you can use, on top of that, there is loads of copyright free music in the app, as well you can add your own music too. You can adjust the aspect ratio 1:1, 16:9 or 21:9.

EDITING

This ap had the assential tools like – Trim Clip, Filters, Overlays, Elements, Titles, Duplicate, Mute, Rotate & Delete. The app lets you edit on a clip bt clip basis, and not a timeline feature, people pay find this more easy or more difficult to work with.

You can use these tools and the option to give the awesomeness to your memories.

There is other paid upgrades that you can do, i reccomend this if you want no watetmark, or you want more features. As this is a “freemium” product.

My final thoughts: FilmoraGo is a great app to start out with, it has the basic features and as well as more advanced features, there is many editing apps out there, FilmoraGo is easy to use, however it is “easy” so if you want more advanced features, you might be better to get other software.

Update: “The Adventure” Release to platforms is most likely delayed | IMPORTANT INFORMATION

BREAKING: TRACK HAS BEEN APPROVED. BEING SENT TO STORES ASAP!

We originally announced in the announcement video that the release date for “The Adventure” was 1st May 2020 – Note, we did clearly state that this is a “guide only”.

The reason we said that this date is only a “guide only” is that due to COVID19, the track may be delayed and might not be sent to platforms in time. This will most likely be the case.

When you release music to major stores/streaming platforms, before a release goes live, tracks are sent for “moderation” to make sure the track meets the distributors polices and as well as the platforms guidelines and policies. Normally with RouteNote, this process takes 24 – 72 hours. Due to COVID19, since the team at RouteNote (and nearly everyone else on the planet) are working from home, there will be delays in the moderation process, and also the process of sending the track to all the stores.

What does this mean for the release date?

As stated, pre orders were meant to start a week before May 1st, the release date WAS set for the 1st of May 2020. due to COVID19, there may be some significant changes. There will be 2 scenarios.

Scenario 1: Track doesn’t make it to stores on time

If “The Adventure” does not pass moderation, or passes through moderation and doesn’t make it to stores on or before the 1st of May, the release date of the track is still planned to be May 1st 2020 – but there will be changes

  • The track will be published 6PM AEST on YouTube as a premiere/video with our streaming services/platforms linked in the video description to be ready when the track goes live to those platforms
  • If you want to listen to these streaming services, you may need to wait a few days, or possibly a few weeks in order to do this. Once again it’s our of our control.
  • Once the track IS live on the PLATFORMS/STORES we will provide updates ASAP and provide links to purchase/stream the tracks on those platforms.

*NOTE: “YT Music” is DIFFERENT then our YouTube upload. YT Music is the streaming platform, this will be delayed – we are talking about me physically releasing the track to the Kalab Templeman Vlogs & Tech channel myself and not through distributor – resulting in no delays**

Scenario 2: Track makes it to stores on/before May 1st (unlikely)

If the track makes it’s way to stores before May 1st 2020, you’ll be able to pre order the song – like normal.

If the song is published and live on stores on/after the 1st of May, you’ll be able to purchase/stream the track as you normally would.

iTunes, Google Play, Spotify and YouTube Music are normally the most quickest with releases (within a week after moderation) the others may take more time.

Whatever happens, the track will be released at 6PM AEST on Friday the 1st of May 2020. This will mean there will be no live stream for that week. Weather the track is released to platforms in time or not, you’ll still be able to listen via YT for now.

How COVID19 Affects Our Photography Services | IMPORTANT INFORMATION

In a nutshell, due to the ongoing situation of COVID-19, with new regulations, guidelines and rules in place, (such as social distancing, number of people allowed at events, or personal safety) our photography services will be affected by this.

PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL STILL BE ABLE TO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES, HOWEVER REGULATIONS AND LAWS WILL BE FOLLOWED. MEANING THE ABILITY TO PROVIDE SUCH SERVICES MAY BE DIFFERENT COMPARED TO NORMAL TIMES.

. The COVID-19 situation is changing everyday, with events being cancelled and rules and regulations in place (such as social distancing) – it can be very difficult for us to provide our photography services.

With rules and regulations such as only X amount of people allowed at events, events being cancelled and also social distancing measures, we need to take these into account when providing services, as well as our health and safety. As health and safety is always #1.

The photography services will be affected, weather that we cannot get into venues or events due to regulations, or if we don’t personally feel comfortable providing services in specific areas due to possibilities of getting COVID-19.

We have the right to refuse service due to the public health outbreak. For more info, contact us
